INFORMATION

One of the things Tina and I have become keen on over recent years is performing our acoustic concerts in elegant settings. In the past we have played in Tamworth Castle and St. Editha's Church; last year we had so many people say how much they enjoyed the show in the setting of the fantastic Middleton Hall, we have decided to return to the venue this year.

The earliest buildings date from c.1300, with later additions in the 15th, 16th and early 19th centuries. The best preserved section is the gracious 11 bay Georgian West wing and the impressive 16th century Great Hall (which was restored in 1994).

In the 17th Century the Hall was the home of Francis Willughby, founder member of the Royal Society, whose interest in natural history was inspired and encouraged by John Ray, one of Britain's greatest naturalists. After Willughby's death, Ray continued to live at the Hall. Sir Hugh Willoughby, the Tudor explorer, and Cassandra First Duchess of Chandos were born here. The house also has links with Elizabeth I, Lady Jane Grey and Jane Austen.

For our concert, the hall will be bedecked in readiness for Christmas, adding to the atmosphere. Our set will be an eclectic mix of folk, blues, Beatles and other standards and of course the odd festive inclusion.

There is a fully licensed bar at the hall.

Please excuse the earliness of this announcement, but historically our Christmas concerts do exptremely well, and as we have a restricted intimate capacity of only 100 tickets, we thought it prudent to announce it now.

THE MARSTON FARM BIG NIGHT OUT TWIXTMAS CONCERT

Phil and Tina wish you a Merry Twixtmas and a Happy New Year!

The Twixtmas concert is a concept that Phil & Tina have worked previously on two ocassions. The idea is simple.
The two of them are both Tamworth based during the Christmas period with family commitments so why not have a party.

Tina commented 'The period between Christmas and New Years Eve often falls a little flat, myself and Phil decided a couple of years ago
that we should perhaps do something and The Castle Hotel in Tamworth was the location for those shows. Both of the shows were very enoyable
and laid back; a party atmosphere really. So this year we are doing it all over again but this time in the magnificent marquee at
Marston Farm Hotel, in Bodymoor Heath, Sutton Coldfield.'

The format will be as usual, a superb four course meal, (and dont worry there wont be a slice of turkey in sight). The meal will be followed by a
45 minute first half set and an hour second half set. There will be support to be announced.

The hotel are offering a special overnight accommodation and show package for the guests of this show. What a perfect Christmas gift for
that difficult to buy for person or couple.
